Located in the Santa Monica Mountains in Brentwood California, this Architecturally significant home was built by the current owners in 1950's and is surrounded by the modern landmarks of A. Quincy Jones, Frank Lloyd Wright, and Cliff May.  Perched on a small hill, the original home which was newly constructed by the owners created difficulty for finding its front door as well as creating security needs for parking and visitor access. After living in the home from its inception and watching the sprawling growth of Los Angeles out of their windows, the Owners wanted a much-needed facelift and modern visual appearance that the home deserved. Enamored with the surrounding contemporary Architecture of the 50's Case Study homes of sleek linear lines and steel framing, research on how best to reconnect the home to its site and environment with appropriate details to allow the home to fit its original character as well as engaging the more contemporary surrounding counterparts.
